
Agadir-Al Massira airport recorded, during the first half of 2023, a commercial traffic volume of 1.09 million passengers, according to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA). This volume represents a recovery rate of 113% for passengers compared to the same period of 2019 (971,189 passengers), indicates ONDA in its latest report on commercial air traffic. During the month of June, the number of passengers who passed through this airport platform reached 176,792 people, against 162,631 passengers registered during the same period of 2019, i.e. a recovery rate of 109%, it is specified. At the national level, the Kingdom’s airports achieved a new record of 12,197,957 passengers welcomed during the first half of 2023, an increase of 5% compared to the same period of 2019. With 1,166,657 passengers welcomed during the 1st half of the year, domestic traffic posted a recovery rate of 83% compared to the same period of 2019, specifies the same source. In addition, air freight recorded, in H1-2023, a recovery rate of 76% compared to the same period of 2019, to stand at 37,168 tonnes against 48,696 tonnes recorded during H1-2019.
