Elements of the Casablanca police headquarters on Saturday arrested a foreign tourist, aged 36 and from an Arab country, for his alleged involvement in a case related to the indecent assault and sexual exploitation of minors. The National Security services had launched a judicial investigation on the basis of information according to which a hotel establishment had prevented the respondent from welcoming minors in his room, indicates a press release from the General Directorate of National Security ( DGSN), specifying that the intense research and investigations carried out made it possible to apprehend the defendant, who was in the company of three minors aged between 16 and 17, in flagrante delicto of attempted embezzlement and sexual exploitation. Officers from the minors’ brigade were responsible for caring for and listening to minors before subjecting them to the necessary medical expertise, while investigating the existence of possible other victims of these criminal acts. The accused was placed in police custody at the disposal of the judicial inquiry conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to shed light on all the criminal acts attributed to him and to elucidate the circumstances and the ramifications of this case.
