In order to present the 2021 report and address the 2022 action plan for the sector of activity, the MDA brought together its members, in a board of directors, this Thursday, December 23. Chaired by Ms. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the council also focused on supporting and improving the condition of artisans. In terms of the report, the Director General of the MDA, Tarik Sadik reviewed the progress of the worksites of the “Rest Art 2021-2025” strategy marked by the exceptional global context of health crisis. Then, he mentioned the importance given to strengthening and supporting the network of actors and the adoption of a new approach to promotion and communication. For him, this approach has made it possible in particular to seal major partnerships for the marketing of craft products with online shopping platforms and major players in mass distribution. The MDA took the opportunity to announce that it has launched several studies in order to better identify international demand and the supply of the local fabric of artisans which will help fuel the recovery strategy.
