Crafts: now, a decree reinforces the exercise of the profession

Presented by the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, this decree strengthens the exercise of craft activities, to the great happiness of those involved in the field. Approved on December 16, by the Governing Council, this decree reinforces the legal framework for Crafts, while fixing the list of activities in the trade. The craft activity will henceforth be structured into two trades which are the craft of art and lucrative production as well as the craft of services. These two business families will be divided into 13 sectors and 172 activities. In addition, the adopted text also consolidates the legal arsenal defining the craft of the craftsman supported by law 50.17. The provisions of this law allowed the restructuring of the craftsman's profession and the establishment of the National Craftsman Register. This register constitutes a fundamental tool for improving the condition of craftsmen, in particular through their inclusion in the Royal project of social security.
