Customs: Extension of the temporary admission of passenger vehicles registered abroad until December 31, 2022

Posted by ALM Date:June 02, 2022 160Views The Administration of Customs and Indirect Taxes (ADII) announced on Thursday the extension, until December 31, 2022, of the period of validity of Temporary Admissions (AT) for passenger vehicles registered in abroad maturing in the years 2020, 2021 or 2022. “The ADII informs Moroccans around the world and foreign tourists that as part of efforts to mitigate the negative repercussions imposed by the Covid-19 in particular on the cross-border movement of travellers, it was decided, on an exceptional basis, to postpone until 31/12/2022, the period of validity of Temporary Admissions (AT) for means of tourist transport expiring during the years 2020, 2021 or 2022”, indicates a press release from the Administration. The holders of the AT concerned or the persons authorized to use the vehicles admitted temporarily are invited to approach, from June 30, 2022, the customs services close to their place of residence in Morocco, provided with the registration certificate and the old AT card, to request a new AT card annotated with the new expiry date, specifies the same source. It was also decided to grant for new AT (import or transfer), a period of six months capped at December 31, 2022 for cases where the vehicle or the traveler has already consumed all or part of the right to AT for the year 2022, informs the ADII.
