
Dakhla airport welcomed 51,920 passengers during the first quarter of the current year, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA). This volume represents a recovery rate of 86% compared to the first quarter of 2019, a period during which 60,263 travelers were welcomed by this airport platform, specifies ONDA in its latest report on commercial air traffic. For the month of March alone, the Pearl of the South airport platform welcomed 17,872 passengers, compared to 23,012 travelers during the same period of 2019, a recovery rate of 78%, the Office said. At the national level, the Kingdom’s airports recorded, during the first three months of the current year, a volume of commercial traffic of 5,912,986 passengers and 46,313 airport movements, i.e. an increase in passenger traffic of 5% and a aircraft movement recovery rate of 96%, compared to the same period of 2019.
