South Morocco Tour from Fez to Marrakesh

ITINERARY OUTLINE

DAY 1

Arrival to Fez - Transfer to the hotel

South Morocco Tour from Fez to Marrakesh will begin upon your arrival at Fez Sais International airport. Our driver / tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel / riad

DAY 2

Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga (Camel Ride & 1 Night in a desert camp )

After you enjoy your breakfast at the hotel we will start the journey to the Sahara desert passing by Ifrane, the Middle Atlas Mountains and the cedar forests of Azrou where we will stop to take some pictures of the wilderness in Morocco and the wild monkeys. After the cedar forest we will continue to Zaida or Medilt where you will have lunch and later on we continue through the middle atlas and landscapes of Medilt till we reach the Ziz Valley where we will stop to take some pictures of the valley before continuing to Arfoud . at the arrival to Merzouga you will be welcomed with a cup of tea before you check into your hotel and right after you will ride the camels into the desert dunes and you have a break on the top of the dunes to enjoy the beautiful sunset and also take some pictures before you continue to the desert camp where you can do the Sand Boarding at the arrival . After dinner, the staff will entertain you some local music around the campfire and you also can walk up the dunes to enjoy the starry sky in a peaceful night.

DAY 3

Merzouga - Berber Families - Black Desert - Merzouga

The staff will wake you up in the early morning to enjoy an amazing sunrise over the Sahara sand dunes, after the sunrise you will ride the camels back towards Merzouga. After having a refreshing shower and enjoying your breakfast we will drive to explore the villages nearby Erg Chebbi desert dunes such as ( Hassi Labied, Khamlia , M'fis... ) . The first village will be Khamlia which is known as the village of black people who were slaves coming from Sudan,you will be welcomed with a cup of tea and sweets or peanuts and you will be entertained with their spiritual Gnawa music. Afterwards we will leave Khamlia and our next stop is will be the panoramic view of golden dunes near the Algerian border, we will stop for lunch under the shadow of a tree before continuing to visit a the nomad family where you will be introduced to family members and getting to know about their lifestyle while enjoying a cup of tea. Later on we will have the chance to visit the sites of black volcanic rocks. continuing on till we will reach the Yasmina lac . We will back to Merzouga in the evening. Overnight in hotel in Merzouga

DAY 4

Merzouga - Erissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley/ Gorges

Around 8:00 Am after enjoying your breakfast at the hotel we will visit Rissani in the Tafilalt region which is situated at the edge of the Ziz Valley and we countinue the journey throughTodra Gorges and across the Atlas Mountains to Tinghir Oasis and continue through the Dades Valley. Overnight in Dades valley.

DAY 5

Dades Gorges - Roses Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakesh

After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, we will start our journey towards Marrakech through the Berber villages and The Atlas mountains. We will arrive to Marrakesh in evening. Overnight in a hotel

DAY 6

Marrakesh - Transfer to the airport

We will transfer you to the airport and this will be the end of our South Morocco Tour from Fez to Marrakesh .
