ITINERARY OUTLINE

DAY 1

Arrival to Fez - Transfer to the hotel

Our Morocco Desert Tour From Fez will start upon your arrival at Fez Sais International Airport. Our driver / tour guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your Hotel / Riad

DAY 2

A Full Day to Explore Fez

Today you will have the full day to explore Fez which was considered Mecca of the west and Athena of Africa.It is the second largest city after Casablanca with a population of approximately 1 million.This city is a the former cultural capital and one of the country's four imperial cities. Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fes el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall and more than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fes, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation.Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Among its narrow streets and allies, the oldest university in the world . The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in AD 859. This University is still operating till this day.

DAY 3

Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Middle Atlas Mountains - Todra Gorges

We will start around 8:00 Am after you enjoy your breakfast at the hotel by driving towards Todra Gorges, passing through Ifrane till we arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where you can take pictures of wilderness the wild monkeys . Lunch will be in a small Berber village named Zaida.After lunch we will continue through the Atlas Mountains and the landscapes of Medilt till we arrive to the small town of Rich then we pass through the town of Imilchil . Arrival to Toudra Gorges will be in the evening. Overnight in a hotel

DAY 4

Todra Gorges - Jorf - Erfoud - Merzouga (Camel Ride & Night in Desert)

After you enjoy your breakfast at the hotel we will leave Toudra gorges towards Merzouga passing by the Berber villages along the way. We will pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud . At the arrival to Merzouga you will be welcomed with a cup of tea before you check into your hotel . Later on you will ride the camels through the dunes of erg Chebbi and you will have a break to experience the peacefulness of the desert and enjoy watching the sunset as well as taking pictures . At the arrival to the desert camp dinner will be served under a Berber tent and after you enjoy your dinner the staff will entertain you with local music played with drums around a campfire .

DAY 5

Merzouga - Berber Families - Black Desert - Merzouga

In the early morning we will wake you up to enjoy an amazing sunrise over the Sahara sand dunes, after the sunrise you will ride the camels back towards Merzouga. After having a refreshing shower and enjoying your breakfast we will drive to explore the villages nearby Erg Chebbi desert dunes such as ( Hassi Labied, Khamlia , M'fis... ) . The first village will be Khamlia which is known as the village of black people who were slaves coming from Sudan,you will be welcomed with a cup of tea and sweets or peanuts and you will be entertained with their spiritual Gnawa music. Afterwards we will leave Khamlia and our next stop is will be the panoramic view of golden dunes near the Algerian border, we will stop for lunch under the shadow of a tree before continuing to visit a the nomad family where you will be introduced to family members and getting to know about their lifestyle while enjoying a cup of tea. Later on we will have the chance to visit the sites of black volcanic rocks. continuing on till we will reach the Yasmina lac . We will back to Merzouga in the evening. Overnight in hotel in Merzouga

DAY 6

Merzouga - Er rissani - Ziz Valley - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes

We will start around 8:00 Am after you enjoy your breakfast by driving back to Fes . We will stop to enjoy a cup of tea at the Ziz Valley before we pass through the High Atlas mountains again. We will stop in Midelt where you will have lunch. After lunch we will continue our way back to Fez. Arrival back to Fez will be in the evening .
