ITINERARY OUTLINE

DAY 1 

Tangier – Transfer to the hotel

Upon arrival to Tangier airport our driver / tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel .

DAY 2 

TANGIER - CHEFCHAOUEN

After you enjoy your breakfast we will start our journey from your hotel towards Chefchaouen passing by the Rif Mountains. At the arrival to this beautiful blue city you will have the day to explore it and its blue washed walls . Overnight in a hotel / riad

DAY 3 

CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ

After you enjoy breakfast we will start our second day driving to Fez and visiting Volubilis, which features the best preserved Roman ruins in this part of Northern Africa also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Later on we move on from volubilis to Meknes which was the capital of Morocco under the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727). After exploring meknes and its fascinating attractions we will continue our way to Fes where you will spend the night.

DAY 4

A FULL DAY TO EXPLORE FEZ

After breakfast you will visit the city of Fez with a local guide . Fez is the biggest city after Casablanca with a population of approximately 1 million also one of the country’s four imperial cities. Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fez el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fez, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation.Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its Medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, the oldest university in the world is located; The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in AD 859. This University is still operating nowadays.

DAY 5 

FES - IFRANE - AZROU - ZIZ VALLEY - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA

after you enjoy your breakfast we will start our journey to Marrakesh via Merzouga by passing through Ifrane to arrive to the cedar forests of Azrou where the wild monkeys can be found and this will be good opportunity to take photos of wilderness in Morocco. After lunch in a small Berber village named Zaida we will continue the way through the Atlas Mountains making our way to Erfoud in which we will start to feel the beginning of the Saharan climate then we continue to Merzouga. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes.

DAY 6 

MERZOUGA - BERBER FAMILIES - MERZOUGA 

After having breakfast in the hotel we will start exploring the area by visiting the village of Khamlia, residents originally from Sudan to experience their gnawa music and lifestyle. Visit the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations. Check out the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are made . After lunch we will ride the camels through the desert dunes where you’ll spend your night in a traditional Berber tent. Dinner will be served in the tent right after the staff will entertain you with some local music played with drums.

DAY 7

MERZOUGA - ER RISSANI - ERFOUD - TODRA GORGES

The staff will wake you up early in morning to enjoy watching the stunning sunrise over the sand dunes . Later on we ride the camels back to the hotel where you get to take a refreshing shower and breakfast before leaving to the fortified village of Rissani in the Tafilalt region. We continue our journey through the berber villages and past the eastern slopes of the Atlas Mountains to Tinghir Oasis, with its green valley of palm trees and local villages, before continuing on a scenic drive through the Todra Valley, also known as the Jewish Kasbahs. Overnight in Todra Gorges.

DAY 8

TODRA GORGES - DADES GORGES - ROSES VALLEY - SKOURA - OUARZAZATE

After having breakfast in the hotel, we will depart to Ouarzazate via Skoura . Stopping for a panoramic view of Dades valley then we continue through dades valley until we reach the kasbah of Ait youl, crossing rose valley with its Kasbah where you can see very the breathtaking landscapes before you get to Kalla Mgouna. After lunch we will head towards the palm groves of skoura and visit the Kasbah of amredhyle then we continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner and over night in hotel.

DAY

OUARZAZATE - KASBAH AIT BENHADDOU - HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS - MARRAKECH

After you enjoy breakfast at the hotel we will leave Ouarzazate after visiting studions , we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizni Tichka 2260m high with an amazing view of the valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby before w arrive to Marrakech in the evening. Overnight in a hotel / riad.

DAY 10 

 A FULL DAY TO EXPLORE MARRAKESH

After you enjoy your breakfast a Full guided tour will be scheduled to discover the “Red City” with a local guide. We will see the Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century in the reign of Almoravid Dynasty. We will go among narrow streets and allies in the medina. We pass by “seven saints” during the reign of Moulay Ismail; the festival of the seven saints was founded to the request of the Sultan. The tombs of several renowned figures were moved to Marrakesh to attract pilgrims. Overnight in a Riad / Hotel.

DAY 11 

MARRAKESH - ESSAOUIRA

After breakfast we will depart for a day trip to Essaouira . Essaouira is extremely relaxing with its white washed houses with painted shutters, artisan’s workshops, boatyards and fishermen provide a marked contrast to Marrakesh. After lunch you have free time for some shopping, a relaxing walk along the beach or maybe a camel ride, a walk to the harbour and ramparts and perhaps a boat trip . Overnight in a riad / hotel.

DAY 12 

ESSAOUIRA - EL JADIDA - CASABLANCA

After breakfast at the hotel we will leave Essaouira towards the economical capital of Morocco Casablanca “the commercial centre of Morocco” via the costal road while admiring the views. We will pass by Safi then to Oualida where you will enjoy delicious seafood in this wonderful place. After lunch we will continue to Casablanca passing by El Jadida (was known with Mazagan); this old medina was established in 1513 by the Portuguese. Arrive to Casablanca early evening, enjoy your dinner and overnight in a hotel.

DAY 13 

CASABLANCA - RABAT - TANGIER

After breakfast we will head towards Tangier after visiting Hassan 2 mosque passing through Morocco’s official capital, Rabat. After lunch we will visit the oudayas Kasbah and the Hassan 2 tower and explore the city of Rabat before we continue our journey towards Tangier . Arrival to Tangier will be in the evening . Overnight in a riad / hotel

DAY 14 

A FULL DAY TO EXPLORE TANGIER

After breakfast you will be joined by your local guide who will take you to see the Grand Succo and visit the Medina, with its cafes and bazaars, Spanish church, jewelers’shops and an arts center displaying works showing Tangier’s social history. Walk the Petit Socco which was once the heart of the Medina. Move on to visit the Grand Mosque, built on the site of a Portuguese cathedral. The tour will also lead you to visit the Kasbah decorated with mosaics, ornamental stucco and woodcarving. Later on you will walk the ramparts, explore the Musée de Carmen-Macein exhibiting a collection of works by Picasso, Max Ernst and Georges Braque. Overnight in hotel / Riad

DAY 15 

TANGIER - TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

We will transfer you to the airport and this will be the end of the tour.
