ONMT announces 35 new airlines for 2023

The Moroccan National Tourist Office is stepping up actions with travel specifiers and national and international airlines to increase the number of seats to Morocco. Thus, for the 2023 summer season, the ONMT has encouraged the opening of no less than 35 new airlines with 10 airlines. For Adel El Fakir, CEO of the ONMT, “Air transport is a lever of action for the development of tourism. For the Office, it is therefore important to contribute to setting up these new links in order to support the upturn and increase in power, by securing the connectivity of Moroccan destinations to the main issuing markets. Eight Moroccan destinations are concerned by this vast program: Agadir, Essaouira, Fez, Marrakech, Nador, Ouarzazate, Rabat and Tangier. And these new lines concern 9 issuing markets: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and the United Kingdom. 10 airlines will operate these new point-to-point routes: Aegean Airlines, Air Arabia Maroc, Binter Canarias, EasyJet, Eurowings Discover, Luxair, Ryanair, TUIfly Belgium, Volotea and Vueling. All the ONMT delegations abroad have been mobilized to achieve this result. 4 new openings for Agadir which will thus be connected to Strasbourg and Lisbon with Ryanair; to Frankfurt with Eurowings Discover and to Glasgow with EasyJet. 4 new openings for Essaouira which will be connected to Bordeaux with EasyJet; in the Canary Islands with Binter, in London with Ryanair and in Barcelona with Vueling. 4 new openings for Fez which will be connected to Alicante and Palma de Mallorca with Ryanair; in Duesseldorf with Air Arabia Maroc and in Clermont-Ferrand with Ryanair. 7 new openings for Marrakech which will be connected to Nantes with Volotea, to Paris with Vueling, to Franckfurt with Eurowings Discover and with Ryanair; Athens with Agean, Luxembourg with Luxair, Amsterdam and Lisbon with EasyJet; in Girona and Palma de Mallorca with Ryanair and finally in Bilbao with Volotea and with Vueling. 2 new openings for Nador which will be connected to Toulouse and Palma de Mallorca with Ryanair. 2 new openings for Ouarzazate which will be connected to Barcelona and London with Ryanair. 3 new openings for Rabat which will be connected to Brussels with TUIfly Belgium and to Toulouse and Madrid with Ryanair. 4 new openings for Tangier which will be connected to Montpellier, Cologne, Palma de Mallorca and the Canary Islands with Air Arabia Maroc.
