For the CNT, the aim is to create a culture of innovation in the tourism industry by stimulating the emergence of an ecosystem of start-ups in all trades and for the different stages of the visitor, employee and investor journey. . The objective of this edition would also be to promote the acceleration of the digital transformation of tourism SMEs in Morocco while supporting a sustainable and resilient recovery. To achieve this, Moroccan and international tech experts will debate with Moroccan leaders in tourism and hospitality, which will promote synergies between tourism leaders and Travel Tech experts on the one hand. This meeting will also make it possible to promote the best solutions to boost competitiveness and sustainability and to identify and bring out the future champions of Travel Tech. Thus, three panels of Moroccan and foreign experts will punctuate this meeting. The first will focus on investing in the digitalization of SMEs for efficient management and optimization of talent development. The second panel will be on investment in the digitalization of SMEs for better prosperity, competitiveness and business performance, while the third theme will address the issue of investment in the digitalization of SMEs to protect our planet: Tech and innovation for a sustainable growth. According to the CNT, to help fill the technological skills gap in tourism SMEs, the government of Morocco is the first to sign the commitment for the digital future to commit to helping 10,000 local SMEs. These will have to participate in the UNWTO program for the digital future to use the digital diagnostic tool and implement specific training programs promoting partnerships with large technological companies. “This is to accelerate digital transformation and provide innovative data-driven solutions for SMEs that drive competitiveness in the tourism sector,” the same source says.
