The ONMT signs a major agreement with Easy Jet which will double its offer

The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has signed a record partnership with EasyJet Group, owner of EasyJet Airlines and the tour operator EasyJet holidays. The agreement concluded between Adel El Fakir, Managing Director of ONMT and Johan Lundgren, Managing Director of EasyJet Group, this Wednesday, January 25 in London, provides for a rise in power of the European giant in Morocco. “This agreement is historic for Morocco as a destination. The airline has real expertise in the European market, our main source of tourists. The five-year agreement covers the period from the summer 2023 season to the winter 2027-2028. At the end of these 10 seasons, EasyJet Airlines will double its seat offer to Morocco, going from nearly 800,000 currently to 1.6 million seats at the start of 2028. Seven markets are concerned, namely the United Kingdom, France , Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal, markets where the airline has air bases. As part of this agreement, EasyJet Airlines and the ONMT have agreed to develop several air connections on the destinations that the company already serves, namely Marrakech, Agadir, Essaouira and Tangier and to program new destinations such as Rabat, Fez and Ouarzazate. .
