The rehabilitation and extension works of the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Technology of Tangier (ITHT) were launched on June 20, 2022, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social Economy and solidarity, Fatim-Zahra Ammor. This is a project with an overall cost of nearly 64.5 million dirhams (MDHS), benefiting from the support of the “Charaka” Fund. This Fund was set up within the framework of the “Compact II” cooperation program, concluded between the Moroccan State and that of the USA, represented by Millennium Challenge Corporation. Of the total amount of the project, 58.6 MDHS will come from “Charaka”. This Fund is intended to be a contribution to the promotion of the professional integration of young people, to the improvement of the competitiveness of companies and to the adoption of modes of governance concerted with professionals. Note that the project is supported by the Fund's tourism department, in partnership with the National Federation of the Hotel Industry.
