WTM Tourism Fair: ONMT deploys its task force

Following the recent decisions on the suspension of direct flights with the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands, the Moroccan National Tourist Office wished to reassure tourism professionals and its partners, that the work of prospection and promotion started on the main markets, will continue in particular in the United Kingdom which will host from 1 to 3 November next in London, one of the most important tourism fairs in the tourism sector “the WTM”. The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) clarified this Thursday, October 21, its position with its partners and tourism professionals and reassured them, as to the work started for the promotion of Morocco, it will continue. To this end, the ONMT has mobilized with extreme responsiveness in order to be able to best represent Morocco at the World Travel Market (WTM) fair. Three strong measures have been activated to achieve this. First of all, it involves the mobilization of all ONMT delegates established in Europe, in order to go to the London show and meet English professionals and constitute a sales, communication and promotion force on the spot. . Then, the Office will provide assistance to professionals registered for the show and who will not be able to make the trip in order to help them switch to the use of the virtual platform made available by the event organizers. Finally, the ONMT is innovating by launching the urgent recruitment of a local sales force who will be able to represent Moroccan professionals during the meetings initially planned. This team will receive ad-hoc training and will operate in close relation with Moroccan exhibitors. Through these measures, the ONMT maintains its commercial strike force in this particular period and works to develop the image and market share of the Morocco destination on the British market. Basically, the WTM was to welcome around twenty national professionals as exhibitors as well as several regional tourism councils. A 200 m2 stand had been programmed for this purpose by the Office.
